Antiviral and antibacterial soothing hand hydrogel

Feb 15, 2021

by Irena Stoimenov-Huetter

Yes, we know, nobody wants to hear the words virus and disinfection anymore. Yet, the beast is still here and we still need to get our hands clean. A number of scientific studies have proven the powerful antiviral and antibacterial effects of essential oils.

Here we’ve found a way how to make the disinfection process rather pleasing. The result is a gel whose fresh, crisp aroma makes it addictive. Another plus, instead of drying the skin it makes it supple and smooth. And it goes without saying – no toxins or preservatives involved.

Ingredients for about 100 ml hydrogel:

  • 10 drops of bergamot or lemon essential oil
  • 5 drops of tea tree
  • 5 drops of eucalyptus
  • 10 drops of lemongrass
  • 90ml aloe vera gel (you can scrap the inner leaf part of your homegrown plant or buy it readymade)
  • 10 ml cold-pressed vegetable oil, preferably jojoba or argan
